Dieline Studio is a small tool for making packaging dielines. We collect as little as we can, we don't sell anything to anyone, and there are no ads or tracking cookies here. This page explains, plainly, what we keep and why.
What we collect
- Nothing, if you just make a dieline. You can pick a type, enter sizes and download the PDF without an account. Your sizes are only used to draw the file.
- Your email and password, if you sign up. We need them to let you log in and to send you account emails (confirming your address, resetting your password). Passwords are stored hashed — we can't read them.
- Your name, email and profile picture link, if you sign in with Google. When you choose Continue with Google, Google shares these with us and we keep them with your account. We use the email to sign you in and to reach you about your account — nothing else. We get no access to your Google account, contacts or files, and we don't share this data with anyone.
- Now and then, a product update. If you have an account, we may email you when something new and useful arrives — rarely, never ads from anyone else. Don't want them? Untick the box when you sign up, turn them off in your account settings, or use the one-click unsubscribe link in any such email.
- Your saved dielines. If you save or share a dieline, we keep its name, type, sizes and a small preview picture so you can open it again. Shared dielines can be viewed by anyone with the link, until you stop sharing them.
- Product news. The email of an account may receive product news about once a month. You can switch it off any time in Account settings.
- Feedback you send us. The message, the page you sent it from, and your email only if you choose to leave it.
Cookies and statistics
- One cookie, only when you log in. It keeps you signed in. Without it logging in wouldn't work, so we don't ask for consent — and we set no other cookies.
- Statistics without cookies. We count visits with a self-hosted Umami — no cookies, no personal data, no following you around other sites. We mostly see totals, like which dieline types are popular.
- Some visits are recorded. For some visits, our own Umami keeps a replay of how the page was used, so we can see where people get stuck. Everything you type into a field, including your email and password, is hidden. Replays stay on our server and are deleted after 30 days.
- Your units choice. If you switch to inches, your browser remembers it so you don't have to switch every time. It stays on your device.
Who helps us run it
- Supabase stores accounts, saved dielines and feedback.
- Google lets you sign in with your Google account, if you choose to.
- Resend delivers our account emails and product updates.
- Telegram forwards new feedback messages to us, so we see them quickly.
- Cloudflare sits in front of the site and handles its traffic. Its Turnstile check on the sign-up form tells people from bots; it runs only there.
They process data only to provide these services to us.
How long we keep it
Your account and saved dielines stay until you delete them. You can delete any saved dieline yourself on your profile page, and your whole account, with everything saved in it, in your account settings. Feedback is kept as long as it's useful for improving the tool.
Your rights
You can delete your account yourself at any time: My dielines → Account settings → Delete account. For anything else — to ask what we hold about you, to correct it, or if you can't log in — send us a message through the Feedback link at the bottom of the home page; leave your email so we can reply. The rules for using the site are in our Terms of Service.
