Hang tab box sizes

The hang tab box is a tuck box with a folded tab on top and a hole in it, so it hangs on a shop peg. These are sizes to start from.

Typical starting points, not a standard: the earbuds row is a real hanging-box project, the others are stock sizes from a US box maker. Which product fits which size is our guess, so measure your own product before you order.

How to measure

Sizes are crease to crease, the way box makers quote them. The tab sits on top of the box, so the pack is taller than the height you enter by about twice the tab height.

Tab height

The tab is two layers folded over each other, so each layer is as tall as the Tab height you set. The default is 40 mm, which gives room for the hang hole and a firm grip on the peg. Go lower, to 25–30 mm, on a small box, and higher if you want the tab to carry a label. It can be at most half the box height.

Euro slot or round hole?

The euro slot is the usual hang hole: a wide slot with a half-circle on top, which fits every peg and slat-wall hook. A round hole is for a single hook. Both are set with Hang hole in the constructor.
