Mailer bag sizes
Poly mailers come in a handful of standard sizes — inches in the US, millimetres in the UK and Europe. Here is what each one usually carries, so you can pick a size before you design the print.

Typical stock sizes, not a standard. The size is the bag itself; the flap with the adhesive strip comes on top — about 40–50 mm (1½–2 in). Printers adapt both to your order.
Picking a size for your product
A common rule of thumb: the bag's width should be the item's width plus its thickness plus about 40 mm (1½ in), and the length the item's length plus its thickness plus about 90 mm (3½ in). Folded clothes are soft, so you can go a little tighter; boxes need the full allowance.
Returns
If customers send things back, add a second adhesive strip: the buyer tears the bag open along the perforation and seals the same bag again. In the generator it is the “Return strip” option.
